Reports from Wellington, NZ

Well it seems our friends in NZ have had a lovely time visiting all things Middle Earth. Daniel even gave a few hours to show them around WETA Workshops. *jealous sighs*

"We're currently taking an intermission break from our private screening of the 1930's version of King Kong - after it was recommended to us this morning by a Mr Daniel Falconer... while he was showing us a few trinkets at his place of work... ;p" ....Delyth's full report can be seen here. Hope there are pictures to follow!

"Daniel Falconer's laugh when he saw Flat Frodo, and his kindness in putting him in the claws of Sauron for a photo (so that if anything got damaged, it'd be his fault not ours). Yes, Flat Frodo has been touched by the master..." Smokering's full report is here.

"Daniel Falconer was *very* generous with his time, giving us two hours inside the building as he told us stories about the LOTR busts and weapons from the films. It's easy to see that Daniel's a big Tolkien fan and I think he enjoyed spending time with fellow geeks who really appreciated what they were seeing!" Here is Ataahua's full report.

Daniel Meets with Lord of the Rings fans

A happy cheers to Daniel and all TheOneRing.net friends who will be gathering this weekend in Wellington, NZ! I hope that a few friends there will send along pictures of their meeting and min-tour of WETA workshops, and any glimpses of a certain large monkey there. ;-)

Happy Mooting! CHEERS!

Fellowship Festival

Daniel will attend the 2005 Fellowship Festival in Wembley, England, according to the festival website. The fest is slated for August 27-29th and will feature LoTR cast, WETA reps and various expert panelists from The Tolkien Society. They'll post their full schedule two weeks before the event. I would like full reports on the "Dramatic Opening Ceremony" from those able to attend. ;-)
